MY APPROACH - INFO FOR SEX WORKERS
MY APPROACH:
Like any clients, sex workers should be able to decide what their priority is in the therapy room. I provide a non-judgemental space to explore whatever you feel is relevant for your therapy, with an understanding that this may or may not include topics relating to work
YOU CAN:
Disclose your work status without judgement, so you can speak freely rather than needing to exclude this information in order to access therapy
Discuss frustration, stress, burnout or trauma relating to work, without fearing an agenda will be imposed on you about leaving sex work
Explore the ways your work intersects with other areas of life, such as relationships, other jobs or study, rest and play, finances, body image, food, substances, home, sexuality
Explore the navigation of boundaries between work life and personal life
I am not trained in Pre-Trial Therapy. On their mental health resources page National Ugly Mugs have a directory of sex worker-friendly counsellors and therapists who have this training
